Since the mid 80's, my artistic activity has gradually gone from textile art to painting. About ten years ago, my interest in oil painting in combination with beeswax grew, which I use in a melt form called "Encaustic" and a soft cold form faller "Cold Wax". The art form is still uncommon in Europe, but all the more common in the United States and Canada. To learn about this technique I have studied for a number of American artists, including Daniella Woolf, Lisa Pressman, Joan Schultze, Janice Mason Steves, David A Clark and Rebecca Crowell.
What interests me most is abstract painting that reflects memories from places, the garden and travel, where color, form and feeling interact and form visual stories.
In Torna Hällestad I have my permanent gallery 'Verandan' and out in the garden is my studio.
Every year I participate in ’Konstrundan’ and then it is open in the gallery and studio for about ten days. Welcome!
