ABOUT ARTELY FINE ART GALLERY

Artely Fine Art

Artely Fine Art was founded in 2017 as Sweden’s first online art gallery. Since then, Artely has shown and represented Swedish contemporary art through a narrow, handpicked selection of some fifty Swedish artists.

The emphasis is on painting. The artists are established names on the Swedish contemporary scene, with works that carry interesting ideas, depth and presence. For Artely, everything begins there: in the work, in the artistry, and in the message held within the work.

The selection and the philosophy

A work of art is a still frame and embodiment of the artist’s thought. It is also the starting point for Artely’s selection. We look for artists with a voice of their own, a clear direction, and the ability to create works that continue to open over time.

A narrow selection is a statement. Every artistry we show is meant to be followed over time, and that is how we believe art should be owned: for years, and with growing interest. Go straight to all works.

The artists of Artely

Artely works in close and constant collaboration with its artists. We meet regularly, visit the studios, discuss the artistry and plan coming collections together. That is what representation looks like at Artely: personal, and long-term. Meet our artists.

Digital art and new formats

Artely has shaped and driven the digitalisation of the Swedish art market, and was an early force in digital art in Sweden. Through Sweden’s first NFT platform for Swedish artists, the collection The Merge, Artely x Artist and Artely Studio, among other initiatives, Artely has developed new formats together with its artists and opened the way for painting into the digital art world.

Digital art at Artely does not begin in the technology. It begins in the artist. Technology is a tool for extending an expression, deepening an idea, or letting a work take a new form. The craft, the message and the authorship remain decisive.

Artely and AI

A new technological wave is entering the art world, raising questions that do not yet have answers. Is AI an artistic tool, or a threat to creation? Where is the line between inspiration and borrowing another’s work? The questions are large, and time will decide. One thing is already clear: AI will reshape the art market. Artely follows the development, takes part in it, and intends to lead it, just as when we brought Swedish art online.

The founders of Artely

Artely is owned and run by Aleksandra and Alexander Antonov, pioneers of Swedish art online with over 25 years in the Swedish art market. From the beginning, their work has been about opening contemporary art to more people, on art’s own terms.

Today, Artely Fine Art gathers Swedish contemporary art for people who seek interesting works with depth and a weight of their own.
