About the artist Bobo Wallmansson
“I love working with large areas of color. I think a lot about the environment in which I place my chimpanzees
in and it is a conscious choice not to put too much gunpowder on things that can steal focus. It’s about the interaction they have with each other, where the background color enhances the feeling I want to convey. I try to see my paintings as mood-setters. When you enter a room where my painting hangs, you should be able to read it in a few seconds and be unknowingly affected by it. “
