Anna Emelia has her studio in Björboholm on Lake Mjörn. Her great interest in light and shadows is reflected in her painting in oils and watercolors. Anna is educated at Schillerska in Gothenburg and has since worked at advertising agencies and with design. Since 2005 she works exclusively with her art.
"I am constantly drawn to the interaction between light and shadows – the gloomy and melancholic against the obvious. I want to capture thoughts about tranquility, presence, loneliness, calm and confidence in my paintings. A counterpoint to the medial time we live in, where we are constantly connected, accessible and evaluated."
